Nico's Family
Yes, his full name is Nicholas, but he prefers to be called Nico by his friends.
Nico’s parents run the Inkopolis Public Library, the biggest library around. They both pushed Nico into doing turf wars because he just spent all of his time reading, studying, helping out in the library, and being the captain of his school’s chess club. While they absolutely love Nico’s passion for knowledge, they felt that he needed to go out and actually have fun and make some friends, pretty much experience life. Little does Nico know, his dad used to be in a rock band when he was younger and his mother was a groupie…and the rest is history.
Viola's Family
Viola’s father is the CEO of a huge company, so the whole family has lived a comfortable, aristocratic lifestyle. Unfortunately for Viola, she has been living in the shadow of her older brother, Rupert, since the day she was born. Her parents always fawn over how “great” he is, causing Viola to have a strained, bitter relationship with both her brother and parents. They’ve always been strict about what she can and can’t do until she turned about 16 years old, which is when she took her first step in the real world, had her first turf war, and formed a squad with Nico, and has never been happier than any diamond jewelry could make her.
I also included the family butler, Argyle, in here as well, who also doubled as Viola and Rupert’s homeschooling teacher. While he has no blood relations to the family, he’s served them for many years, and he’s the closest thing to a parent Viola has ever had. She’s also the only one that treats Argyle with genuine respect.
Heather's Family
Heather was adopted by her two dads when she was just a baby. They found her abandoned in an alleyway, and after nobody claimed her, they decided to adopt her and raise her. Heather ended up figuring out she was adopted on her own and she has no issue with it because she loves them and they love her, and that’s all that matters in the end.
Felix is a physics professor at the local university while Tucker is a journalist for the Inkopolis newspaper, and does freelance photo journalism on the side as well. Both of them are awful cooks, so Heather spent a few years eating awful food and occasional take out. But once cooking classes were offered to her in school, she signed on for them and now cooks all meals and desires to become a professional chef. She always cooks in bulk so that her dads can have leftovers whenever she’s busy or at Vaughn’s house.
Vaughn's Family
Vaughn’s parents have to do quite a bit of traveling for their jobs, so he was often left at another family member or a family friend’s house until they returned. Their trips usually last from about a week to a whole month. Once Vaughn was old enough, he started staying home alone. While it can be nice, he does get super lonely. He does talk to his parents via video chat when they’re gone, but it’s not really the same as having real company. Luckily, he has Heather to keep him company with sleepovers or he’ll go to her house. He’ll also invite the rest of the team over as well whenever everyone is available.
